Michael Mazur, 1935-2009
Michael Mazur was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. He was educated at Horace Mann School, Amherst College and Yale School of Art and Architecture. Mazur had participated in hundreds of group and solo exhibitions nationally and abroad. His work is included in many major collections, such as The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, MOMA, The Whitney Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. He lived with his wife, poet Gail Mazur, in both Cambridge and Provincetown Massachusetts.
